Busy, Busy, Bu…. Okay Maybe Just One

Friday, September 21st, 2007

I’ve mentioned before that I’m hard at it right now.  I’m trying to move in with my in-laws, put my old household into storage, stage the old house for selling, finish up my multitude of other projects before I lose my shed workspace and work a full time job.

So what I really, really don’t need right now is to visit a website like www.puzzlegrid.com.   And I really, really, really don’t need to play Mahjong.  Or Bubbles.

Oh hell, maybe just one game…

I Did That

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

My home improvement multimedia extravaganza is now live! You can check it out here.

It’s called I Did That. It will mix in blog posts, audio podcasts and video podcasts. I’ve started rather simply with my Laundry Room Project. The show will be evolving as it goes, so make sure you check it out.

Update:  Oops, I had the first link messed up.  It’s fixed now.  The url is www.ididthatshow.com for those thousands of you that want to homepage it.

Latigo Flint

Thursday, October 12th, 2006

If you never read the blog entitled Latigo Flint, Quickdraw, you never read anything worth glancing at.

In fact, if you can read this post without losing a bit of your sanity (and being happy to see it go), then I will send you my personal copy of About Behaviorism by B.F. Skinner. That’s a $10.40 value so you know I’m not messing around.*

*While supplies last, first come first served, look both ways before crossing the street, not available in Canada or NM, plant your corn early this year, void where prohibited.

The Bush Song

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

I’ve pointed to this before, but I’m doing it again. George Bush, if you ever read this humble little blog, I want you to play yourself a song here. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted to say to you.

NOTE: NOT WORK SAFE!!!

Rocketboom Comments

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

I have been a faithful Rocketboom watcher since my brother first introduced me to it. It is a videoblog or vlog or whatever-the-kids-call-it. It talks about a variety of different topics and is more entertaining than most things I see on TV.

That having been said, stay away from the comments. Good lord, they are awful. No matter what they put up, there will always be a certain percentage of people that just bitch and moan about that days episode and a certain percentage that gush how wonderful it was. These commenters tend to rotate viewpoints fairly frequently. So in essence, you get the same comments day after day, with a cast of characters that switch sides randomly.

Sounds Like…

Wednesday, October 5th, 2005

The 10/5/05 episode of The Chair and Automan is out. Download the MP3 directly here. Or better yet, get a podcatching client and subscribe to this podcast here. Or check out my Odeo channel.

In this episode:

I talk about these songs sounding like artists of yesteryear we all know and love. And I challenge you to agree with me. I also talk about all the links that are after the songs. I offer up a chance at a T-shirt from either the Gym Class Heroes or The Movement (depending on which show I see) to everyone who offers an opinion about who these artists are reminiscent of.

The songs :

Check out the new album by Rising Sun and buy it.

Go out and get you a cd by The Movement or by The Gym Class Heroes. The Movement will be playing Headliners Mainstage in Columbia, SC on 11/04. The Gym Class Heroes will be there the very next night (11/05)!

Go get yourself a T-shirt from Caribbean Free Radio. You will be happy you did.

Audio feedback/promos are always welcome at jaslusher AT gmail DOT com.

Later.

NNDB

Saturday, August 13th, 2005

I’m not sure what NNDB stands for but I’m willing to bet the last two letters stand for database. Name aside, it is actually a quite cool thing. It takes celebrities and notorious people and tracks them. In fact it’s motto is “tracking the entire world”. Check it out.

I mention it because in surfing about the ‘Net it showed me that there are only two degrees of separation between Ann Coulter and 2 different Black porn stars. Of course, they were both through Bill Maher.

So, in essence, Ann has slept with everyone that Heather Hunter ever slept with. I love America. You couldn’t make this stuff up if you wanted to.

Coco Johnsen is virally connected to everyone Ann ever slept with. She needs to get herself checked, because Miss Coulter is already exhibiting signs of syphilitic madness.

Flickr

Wednesday, July 6th, 2005

I went and got myself a Flickr account. Not the pro style but just the free one. Because I’m cheap like that. I’m eventually, as time and uploading limits permit, going to host all of my blogged pictures on Flickr. So if/when you see pictures appearing in the little sidebar that are from really old posts, it’s because I have finally gotten back that far.

Comments

Friday, June 10th, 2005

If it seems weird that your first comment on this blog doesn’t show up right away, it’s because I get to moderate the comments on this application. So I have to approve your first comment on here, after that you can do it at will. It helps cut down spam, ya know.

Addition and Subtraction

Friday, June 10th, 2005

I’m having fun adding and subtracting stuff from the old blog on the new one, trying to make this one a little better organized and easier on the eyes. As I familiarize myself with the Wordpress stuff it should get better and better.

And they say old dogs can’t learn new tricks.
