An easy way to bailout the ailing auto industry (and America in general) would be to institute a single-payer healthcare system. GM spends about 5.6 billion dollars a year on healthcare alone. That $5.6 billion could be spent on retooling and innovating. I’m just saying.

At this rate not only will my 401k never reach 401k, it looks to be heading towards $4.01.

I was pondering the bailout bill today and realized that I have an inherent conflict of interest in the matter and therefore won’t be commenting much.
I think handing Wall Street (or anybody for that matter) $700 billion is just plain stupid. Taking the risk out of financial markets removes the only downside to making stupid [...]
