I’m not much of a TV watcher. Especially TV series. When you work rotating 12 hour shifts and don’t own a DVR of any sort, it’s just hard to maintain an interest in one and miss half of all the shows.
That being said, the ABC series, Daybreak, has caught my attention.
First of all, I like Taye Diggs. I can’t think of anything he has been in that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy.
Second, I like the premise. He keeps reliving the same day over and over, but when he alters his actions, things turn out different. And sometimes they don’t. It’s very cool and they don’t even attempt (at least in the series premier) to try and explain why it’s happening. Other than the same day thing, it’s pretty much a cop/action show.
Third (and perhaps most importantly), you don’t have to watch it on TV! On the ABC website you can watch the show in it’s entirety for free the next day. That’s very cool. The only thing that would be cooler is if they released it as a video podcast. I wouldn’t mind getting the thing automatically. But that’s just lazy old me. For now I can live with streaming it off their site.
You can watch several of their popular shows like that (Grey’s Anatomy, etc). If you are like me and can’t find the time to be shackled to the archaic teevee, you should check it out.
