In this episode:

I talk about trying to get the truck started today. I talk about my wife driving around with the battery from 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis in her Honda. I talk about waiting for the Rotor Locator Screws for the Rover. I send out my well wishes to the folks of New Orleans and suggest the build a 10 mile long, five foot wide wall that rises up out of the ground about 15 foot. I like The Baggins the most. Another really jazzy feel to it. The instrumental backgrounds almost reminded me of old Mahavishnu Orchestra (oldie from the 70’s…insanely fast guitar-fusion jazz).

I got my Academy Is and Gym Class cd’s yesterday from the mailman. Checking them out and digging them. (Academy song Down and Out is a good one….you might have played that before, methinks).

Sorry about all the mess in New Orleans. I’m saying my prayers for folks and sending money to the Red Cross. My company is also doing a matching type donation program and hopefully lots more folks out there are doing that. American people always comes through in a crises. I wish there were more I could do.

James, you were just saying last week you wouldn’t want to live in a place where you always have to evacuate every year…..man, you were right on the money with this one.

I noticed the photo caption you objected to (“looting”) was from the AP wire service. Those guys suck and are always throwing their own spin on things instead of just reporting the damn news. The photo that said (“finding”) was from a different service AFP/Getty (whatever that is). I have no doubt, especially given what I think still goes on in the South (well, everywhere0…..that there are racial overtones in things like this. And that sucks. But in this case, I also have an hypothesis that you are seeing the difference in reporting from a decent organization (AFP/Getty) and one that is crap and judgemental (AP).
