Things I talk about in this episode:

Coming Together

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005

Look closely at this picture and see if you can imagine a loveseat forming out of this.

G-Mail

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005

Do you still have to be invited to get a G-mail account? If so, anyone have one they could shoot to a brother?

Also, anyone got a way to get it to auto show up in my outlook express? I have a yahoo account that I would like to do the same thing but have never figured out how.

UPDATE: David sent me one, thanks for all the other offers.

Belated Easter Pictures

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005

Here are a couple of pictures from our Easter gathering.

First, we have the girls dying the Easter eggs:

After pulling each egg out of the dye, Emily would announce that it was time to drink the colored water.

Second, we have Emily and her Nana mugging for the camera:

Pretend That I’m Not Stupid

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005

Let’s pretend that you were working on fixing a horn on a 1979 F100. Let’s also pretend that you are too stupid to disconnect the battery. We must also pretend that you are attempting to put in a small spring that accidentally crosses two live circuits. At this point we have to pretend that even while the spring begins to heat up, you value that little spring more than your own personal safety.

Got all that?

If you did, you will realize that you would end up with fingers that look like this:

Now you have to pretend to ask yourself, why are you being such a moron?

Kaizen

Tuesday, March 29th, 2005

  • I talk about the Kaizen process.
  • I play my new “grind time” song intro.
  • I play the song Trackslashers by Real-Eyes featuring J-High and Kartier the Kemist.
  • I beg shamelessly for promos and feedback and call it a show.

Asheba

Monday, March 28th, 2005

I just got off the phone with a performer named Asheba. I was originally introduced to his music through Gergia Poppelwell’s Caribbean Free Radio. He is such a nice man and he gave me permission to share one of his songs on my podcast. If you have kids and want to give them something special to listen too, or if you are like me and just enjoy such music, give him a try. You will be happy you did.

Devolution

Monday, March 28th, 2005

Have you ever noticed that the people that are most adamantly opposed to the theory of evolution are also the most ape-like?

I say that, but I don’t believe in man’s evolution from apes, either. I think we are still monkeys. Just look around.

The Easter Table

Saturday, March 26th, 2005

My wife and I are setting up for our Easter dinner. We didn’t actually have an Easter related centerpiece, so we improvised.

Marilyn’s family is coming over and we will grill and have an Easter egg hunt. I always love these things and really enjoy watching Emily get excited about them.
