Thankfulness

Monday, November 22nd, 2004

I am thankful for many, many things. I’m going to list some of them for your edification. Note that just because something isn’t on the list doesn’t mean that I’m not thankful for it, it just means I forgot to write it down. This is in no particular order (other than the [...]

Automantic

Saturday, November 20th, 2004

I have been watching the selling of classic Mustang seats (both front and rear) pretty closely on Ebay for a couple of weeks now. There seems to be a pretty steady supply of these things and I can get them relatively cheap. On average I would pay about $100 for a rear seat [...]

Brakes

Thursday, November 18th, 2004

Okay, okay I said no more Ebay stuff, but I lied. The brakes are up to $1025 now! WOW. Thats $18 more than I paid for them even including tax. I’m excited.
Maybe I should run up to Mustangs Unlimited in Atlanta and buy some more of them.

Ideashappen.com

Thursday, November 18th, 2004

In one of my rare instances of TV viewing recently, I saw a Visa ad that talked about winning $25,000 to start a small business and referenced the website ideashappen.com. I thought it might be cool to throw my auto furniture idea on there and see what happened.
They aren’t taking submissions anymore. Bummer.
They [...]

Oh My Aching Back

Thursday, November 18th, 2004

Went to the doctor today to get my back checked out. She believes it is probably a muscular problem rather than skeletal. Gave me some drugs and I guess I need to work on strengthening my lower back muscles some.
Hmm. We’ve been thinking about having another child, I wonder if there is [...]

Silly Llama

Wednesday, November 17th, 2004

Via Mitch Wagner, check out the llama song. Funny little thing. It automatically repeats itself and I must have listened to it 3 times before I made myself stop watching it. You have to have sound (I couldn’t watch this at work, for instance, because there are no speakers on the computers [...]

Auction End

Wednesday, November 17th, 2004

The Ebay auctions are over and I sold 7 out of the 9 things that ended yesterday. I got roughly 71% of my original investment back out of it, which is obviously not a way to get rich quick (or at all for that matter). I did, however, remove a bunch of stuff [...]

Ebay Part Umpteen Million

Monday, November 15th, 2004

You will be thrilled to know that 10 of my 11 Ebay auctions end tomorrow, so I will soon quit obsessing about that particular thing and we can all get on with our lives.
My seat ought to be here tomorrow or Wednesday, I’m looking forward to that. I will begin designing the prototypical loveseat [...]

More Ebay

Sunday, November 14th, 2004

4 of the 11 things I am selling on Ebay are definitely going to sell. They are all at the minimum right now which means that they are going for 70% of what I originally paid for them. At this point, though, 70% of something is better than all of nothing. I [...]

Polished Dave And Unsolicited Podcast Advice

Sunday, November 14th, 2004

I have figured out why the people who are into podcasting are making such a big deal about my brother’s podcast. I really had no idea for awhile as it was essentially the only one I listened to. I would check out Adam Curry’s Daily Source Code now and then, but Dave was [...]
