Reminder: I hate Bush.
About the flak over the publishing of the pics of the flag-draped coffins:
President Bush considers the release of photographs of flag-draped military coffins a reminder of the fallen troops’ sacrifice, but believes family privacy should be respected, the White House said Friday.
Pentagon officials said the photos, issued last week and posted on an Internet site, should not have been made public under a policy prohibiting media coverage of human remains. Some activists argue that the photos, released last week, underscore the war’s human cost.
“They’re not happy with the release of the photos,” said Col. Jon Anderson, a spokesman for the Dover base.
What about the outrage over the latest episode of The Crusades? I am continuously disgusted by the news I hear and see. First-hand accounts of the war in Iraq are stomach-turning. At work the other day a person at the table expressed dismay at just how ungrateful the Iraqis are. Yeah, I thought, just like those heathen Native American ingrates.
I wonder if average Germans sat around in 1940 wondering why those stupid Poles weren’t happier?
Man, it chaps my behind royally to say that the French were right.
Please vote for John Kerry in November.
