Suncom Gets Worse Every Day

I have made my opinion on Suncom and its horrible customer service clear in the past. They are getting worse. They tried to bill me a whopping $267.20 when my wife and I hadn’t yet exceeded our minimum minutes (we get 350 daytime minutes plus unlimited nights and weekends, and we had only used 310 total minutes). They have been trying to gouge us ever since the first time I complained to them and I must believe now that they are doing it purposefully. I expect I will have to call and argue with them once a month now until I have finished my contract with them which is not until October.

I believe that there are other phone companies, either cingular or verizon or someone who doesn’t require a contract. If I can’t find one I will just get a prepay phone somewhere. No more of this getting trapped by imbeciles crud.

Do yourself a favor and avoid Suncom/ATT

I agree and have just switched to Cingular. I was not notified of extra billing charges then sent a suspension notice. Customer service on the phone and the web was terrible. Dropped calls and inability to find a strong signal were persisting problems.

I do not like Suncom. I regret the day I contracted service with them. The customer service is the worst I have encountered with any other service. I really would like to start a class action suit against Suncom for charges I paid yet cannot receive detail billing. The experience in dealing with Suncom has been a nightmare. I am still on contract for with them. I am not giving up the fight against unfair charges and awful customer service.

SunCom was getting a large amount of complaints from customers concerning text messaging to anyone outside the SunCom network. They supposedly sent an internal memo on Jan 14th, 2008 that said the text messaging problem has been fixed. Does anyone know how I can get a copy of this internal memo?

    Thanks.

Do a Google search. In the eyes of most service providers a messaging problem has been “fixed” recently. It’s not that texting is costing the providers more, it’s actually a low bandwidth concern but if you take a look at texting trends you will see that almost all cellular providers have just jacked up prices for text. Does it cost more to them? nope. It’s a trend that has increased dramatically since summer of 2006.
